Borgo Macereto, situated in the hills between Mugello and Valdisieve in Dicomano, falls within the prestigious Chianti Rufina designation. Spanning 20 hectares, it includes six hectares of vineyards and three and a half hectares of olive groves, surrounded by meadows and woods. Established in 2014 by the Foscarini family, Nicola Foscarini restored three hectares of Sangiovese and Gamay and in 2016 planted Pinot Noir alongside white varieties like Riesling, Incrocio Manzoni, Moscato, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier. These contribute to a single wine, Doppiosenso. All vineyards are certified organic, with enologist Dario Parenti shaping the wine style. Francesco Nesi, winner of the prestigious Fiorino d’Oro Award for painting, designed the labels, playing a significant role in promoting the territory through the powerful mediums of art and wine.
