Climatic trend: good weather conditions and adequate rainfall during spring; not too high temperatures in August. Perfect conditions at harvest time, postponed from previous years, with perfectly ripe grapes and excellent results in winemaking.
Vinification: fermentation on the skins lasting 18-20 days, at a controlled temperature below 30° C, in low and wide 150 hl steel tanks, specially made to effectively but gently extract tannins and color.
Aging: 4 years, 3 of which in Allier and Slavonian oak barrels of 25-50 and 75 hl capacity, followed by bottle aging for at least 12 months in temperature-controlled rooms.
Serving temperature: 18°
Organoleptic characteristics:
Color: ruby red with slight garnet reflections.
Nose: intense, very complex. The primary fruit is broad and deep, framed with great elegance by gentle, well-blended oak spices. Nuances of “goudron,” licorice, mushroom and chocolate, leather, tobacco give further complexity and harmony.
Palate: an overwhelming attack for fullness, structure and power. It releases with intensity all the flavors perceived on the nose, then sliding into a soft and persuasive aftertaste, which leaves thanks to its balance pleasant and persistent sensations.
