Product details

100% Italian semolina pasta, with cooking time 13 min.
Cylindrical in shape and smooth (without rifling), calamarata is a typical format of the southern coastal areas of Italy. To produce it, the pasta maker uses the same die used to make friar’s sleeves (or paccheri) but shorter by about three quarters (about a quarter of a pacchero).
Calamarata is particularly suitable for seafood recipes, for example with cherry tomatoes and squid,or shrimp. It also lends itself very well to creamier sauces such as a carbonara.

Ingredients

Italian durum wheat grindstone*, water. Contains Gluten. May contain traces of egg. *Organic ingredient

Artigiano

Pastificio Fabbri was founded in 1893 by Giovanni Fabbri, who moved from Cintoia to Strada in Chianti. He acquired land in Piazza Landi to establish his pasta factory, which included a mill, an oven, and a grocery store. By 1911, the factory had transitioned from manual marble wheel and horsepower operations to electric power. Year after year, generation after generation, the Fabbri family passed down their knowledge and production secrets. The excellence of the raw materials, combined with 125 years of experience, ensures the exceptional quality and flavour of Fabbri pasta.
