Maison Darragon, with nine generations of winemaking dating back to 1761, is located in the Vouvray appellation of the Loire Valley. This prestigious 2,300-hectare region boasts vineyards that overlook the river. The château, constructed from Tuff and partly sourced from its own cellars, overlooks 40 hectares, primarily planted with Chenin Blanc. In 2008, David Charbonnier joined his father-in-law, Pierre Darragon, soon followed by Christelle, Pierre’s daughter. Together, they uphold the family tradition by producing Fines Bulles sparkling wines, Méthode Traditionnelle Vouvray, and a range of elegant still wines. Additionally, sandy soils support Malbec and Pineau d’Aunis for Touraine reds and rosés, as well as Grolleau for Méthode Traditionnelle rosés.
