SAVORS is the name used in Carnia, an Alpine region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, to indicate a carefully selected blend of vegetables, aromatic herbs, and salt.
This traditional food specialty originates in the mountains, where the harsh winter climate prevents garden harvesting for many months of the year.
In the past, women waited until the end of summer to harvest the right variety of aromatic herbs and vegetables. Everything was then finely chopped and seasoned with enough salt to ensure prolonged preservation.

This precious preparation ensured the availability of the flavors and aromas of the garden during the long winter months and was always present in the kitchen, used in countless dishes.
Today, SAVORS represent a direct testimony to the creativity, ingenuity, and wisdom contained in many typical products of the Alpine culinary tradition.

IN THE KITCHEN
Made with six types of vegetables and just as many aromatic herbs, SAVORS is a valuable addition to enriching the flavor and aroma of countless recipes.

Particularly suitable for preparing soups, broths, and risottos, SAVORS is an excellent base for flavoring any type of pasta and meat, or for enhancing sauces for mushrooms and fish dishes.
