Castello Sonnino, with its iconic 13th-century tower, overlooks the valleys of Montespertoli in the Chianti region. For over two centuries, the Sonnino family has produced wines and extra-virgin olive oil, combining profound knowledge of the land with a spirit of innovation. Guided by the philosophy of the great “Chateaux,” the estate cultivates grapes solely from its 40 hectares of vineyards. Sonnino wines reflect the character of the Chianti Montespertoli DOCG, the smallest Chianti denomination introduced in 1997. Since 1987, Baron Alessandro de Renzis Sonnino has introduced new horizons to the estate, incorporating international varieties such as Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec alongside traditional Sangiovese and Canaiolo.
