Soil type: clayey soils with a notable presence of limestone, marl and alberese.
Winemaking: maceration in steel for 15-20 days with temperature control. Ageing for about a year in new and second passage French oak barrels during which the malolactic fermentation takes place. Refinement in the bottle for at least 36 months before being marketed. Not filtered.
Alcoholic strength: 14.5% vol.
Ageing potential: suitable for long ageing
Corbezzolo is a blend of Sangiovese grapes from the winery's historic vineyard dated 1981 and from a careful selection. A wine of character but fine and refined with sweet and persistent elegant tannins. Complex and harmonious flavour, minerality, red fruits, black pepper, spices.
